Datex was formed in 1998 and since then has undertaken a variety of contracts
for companies in the financial services sector. Datex is registered and
incorporated in the UK. In addition to providing consultancy services,
Datex is also a reseller of Radar risk analysis software for insurance
underwriting, reinsurance and captive insurance companies .
Andrew Young is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
& Wales and has a business degree in Economics, Accounting and Law. He
worked in Banking, Investment Management and Insurance before starting
Datex. Pre Datex he had roles as an accountant (financial,
management and tax), in general management, as a Treasurer, Investment Manager
and in sales and marketing (covering offshore financial centres and the USA). In recent years he has been involved in
software development and Web site authoring. John
Young is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
& Wales and studied accounting at the City of London College before
qualifying as an accountant. He spent nearly 10 years working in the Far
East, including 4 years with one of the big 4 accountancy firms in Hong Kong,
followed by 6 years with a German freight forwarding group, again based in Hong
Kong but covering South East Asia. He has also carried out interim and
consultancy assignments, some in Asia, including setting up an accounting system
for a government agency in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Upon returning to the UK
he spent 17 years as a Finance Director for American software companies with
responsibility for their European divisions. He is now involved with the
creation of a new investment vehicle for private investors and acts as Finance
